It will take a Christmas miracle to melt her heart.
Resort developer Madison Lane is about to lose the one thing she loves most in the world—her job. Dubbed "The Grinch Who Killed Christmas," Madison spoiled a deal that would turn quaint Christmas, Colorado, into a tourist's winter wonderland. Now the citizens want her fired but the company gives her one last chance, sending Madison to the small town to restore the holiday cheer.
For Sheriff Gage McBride, no hotshot executive from New York City is going to destroy the dreams of the people he loves. But one look at this beautiful woman and it's his heart that may be broken. In just a few days, Madison causes more trouble than he's had to deal with all year. He can't decide if she's naughty or nice, but one thing is for certain—Christmas will never be the same again...
Okay. Debbie Mason is amazing. Every book of hers just warms you from the inside out. And The Trouble with Christmas is no exception. From start to finish, it’s exactly the kind of Christmas-themed romance everyone dreams about reading to kick start the holidays and to get them all warm and fuzzy for the season.
Madison is the heroine of our story. She’s a business minded woman who doesn’t care for Christmas, and isn’t always concerned with what she SHOULD be. So when she ruins a small town’s plans for their very own winter wonderland that would drum up tremendous revenue, her company decides to send her there to try and fix the gigantic problem that she’s drummed up.
Enter Sheriff Gage McBride. A small-town man with a huge heart and an even greater pride in his community. He is determined to make sure that the woman who created this fiasco for his town doesn’t destroy their hopes of the winter wonderland they’ve dreamed of. But when he sees her, he can’t help but feel utterly torn between his love for his town, and what his heart has decided could possibly be the love of his life.
Just… adorable. It’s the perfect storm of a story that makes you laugh, touches you in all the right feels, and leaves you feeling anxious for the happily ever after that you know is coming. Madison and Gage have a unique chemistry that just works superbly, and the setting for the story is Christmas perfection. Ms. Mason knows how to create a beautiful backdrop, a moving romantic scenario, and enough in-between characters to round out a remarkable book.
