The author of Just Say Yes is back with another sweet and sultry Strictly Business novel about working hard and falling harder into an unexpected romance...
Love doesn’t always follow the same schedule...

Alex Walker doesn’t need a woman in his life. In fact, he doesn’t have time for one. Between his career in the FBI and the demands of being good father, romance is an unwanted distraction.

Likewise, Cassidy Mullen is fine on her own. The independent career woman has never had a husband in her plans—forget about kids. But when her friend Alex gets into a bind with his ex over their daughter, Cass finds herself suddenly playing the part of Alex’s stable, child-loving fiancée—and liking it a lot more than she’d care to admit.

Soon Alex and Cass can’t deny the real passion growing between them. But as fake affection turns into real love, Cass and Alex will have to make a choice: say “I Do” to their feelings or give up on happily-ever-after for good...

Marie's Thoughts
THE WEDDING AGREEMENT was a cute, fun and surprisingly sexy romance that had me laughing, cheering, and anxiously waiting for the final page and HEA. The story introduces us to two friends, Alex and Cassidy. Both of them are independent and not looking for a relationship by any means. But when Alex’s ex starts questioning his parenting choices and whether or not he’s fit as a father with his job as an FBI agent, Cassidy jumps in to save him by telling his ex that the two of them are engaged to be married! Playing the happy couple to keep Alex’s ex at bay, Cassidy and Alex discover that they really do have feelings for one another, and have to decide whether to give in to those feelings, or give up the game of playing house.

Alex and Cassidy are perfect for one another. They’re both smart, tenacious people with big hearts, and I just loved their interaction. You can tell from the get-go that while they both are oblivious to the feelings they harbor; they care for one another. Their relationship is tender, sweet, and eventually…extremely hot! There was also the relationship between Alex’s daughter, Nina, and Cassidy. It was adorable, and you could really tell that Cassidy loved the girl just as much as she loved Alex.

The pairing was perfect in this book, the setting was picturesque, and the plot was brilliant.  Another shining star for Ms. Elizabeth Hayley!

I read and reviewed a paperback copy of the book gifted to the blog, from the publisher, in exchange for an honest review. All conclusions reached are my own.
