Review: One Grave at a Time by Jeaniene Frost

How Do You Send A Killer to the Grave When He's Already Dead?

Having narrowly averted an (under)World War, Cat Crawfield wants nothing more than a little downtime with her vampire husband, Bones. Unfortunately, her gift from New Orleans's voodoo queen just keeps on giving - leading to a personal favor that sends them into battle once again, this time against a villainous spirit.

Centuries ago, Heinrich Kramer was a witch hunter. Now, every All Hallows Eve, he take physical form to torture innocent women before burning them alive. This year, however, a determined Cat and Bones must risk all to send him back to the other side of eternity - forever. But one wrong step and they'll be digging their own graves.

Cat and Bones are solicited for help...by a ghost. Seems some crazy stuff will be going down on Halloween and the duo needs to stop this evil before it gets worse. They enlist the help of Ian, Spade and Denise as well as Cat's mom, who's having a difficult time adjusting to her new lot in life.

We are also introduced to a very eccentric, and very gay, floral designer/medium who is helping the team with their ghostly problem. He is a total riot!

We've also got Cat's uncle, who is also getting used to his new lot as well. It seems Don has many secrets about the new commander of paranormal government agency Don used to head. We see a lot less of Tate, Juan, Dave and Cooper in the book and I have a bad feeling something awful is getting ready to happen.

As we wind down to the closing of the series, many things are set in motion in this book that, hopefully, will be resolved in the next and final book of the series. I don't know about you but I'm super excited to find out what happens!!
