Her deadly dreams leave her in grave danger

Since half-vampire Cat Crawfield and her undead lover Bones met six years ago, they've fought against the rogue undead, battled a vengeful Master vampire, and pledged their devotion with a blood bond. Now it's time for a vacation. But their hopes for a perfect Paris holiday are dashed when Cat awakes one night in terror. She's having visions of a vampire named Gregor who's more powerful than Bones and has ties to her past that even Cat herself didn't know about.

Gregor believes Cat is his and he won't stop until he has her. As the battle begins between the vamp who haunts her nightmares and the one who holds her heart, only Cat can break Gregor's hold over her. She'll need all the power she can summon in order to bring down the baddest bloodsucker she's ever faced . . . even if getting that power will result in an early grave.

Elizabeth's Thoughts
This is the game changer book. It’s also my least favorite of the series because Cat and Bones have so many problems and they fight A LOT. Many disturbing things are revealed and a vampire ally has been keeping a HUGE secret from Cat and Bones. You won't freakin' believe it!

We also lose a beloved secondary character in the book. Yes, I was totally balling. Cat and Bones's relationship is put to the test in these pages. It's heart-wrenching and there are a few WTF moments that totally threw me. So many milestones happen in this book as well; some good, some bad, but necessary all the same.

This is not a sunshine and rainbows kind of book. Jeaniene really keeps us holding our breath in this one. I am reminded by the saying, "It's always darkest before the dawn." This is one of those dark times. I hope I haven't deterred you from picking up the book. The story is vital to the series.

Things do get better though, I promise!
