Officer Luc Moretti had no idea that his dive into the East River would have him drowning in a media frenzy. No matter how many times he tells reporters he was just doing his job, they're determined to make him into NYC's newest hero. Coming from a long line of NYPD's finest, Luc knows that being a cop has nothing to do with headlines and viral videos, and he's more than ready to get back to life away from the cameras—until he meets the gorgeous but jaded journalist assigned to film a TV special on him.

Ava Sims may be the only woman in NYC who isn't in love with Officer Moretti. That's why she's going after the real story—to find out about the man behind the badge. Ava's determined to keep things strictly professional, but the more time she spends around Luc, even she has to admit there's something about a man in uniform . . . and she can't wait to get him out of his.

Elizabeth's Thoughts
FRISK ME is funny, highly entertaining and completely captured my attention from start to finish.

I love how Luc and Ava were constantly butting heads and equally matched in the sarcasm and stubbornness department. Their chemistry was palpable and sizzled during each encounter!

I absolutely loved the whole story! I loved this big, boisterous Italian Moretti family. I loved how no two family members were the same and the diversity is really what made the family so loveable. And I also loved that there are four very sexy cop brothers in the family and I’m looking forward to everyone’s story!

My favorite part of the book was definitely Nonna, Luc’s grandmother. She is over 80 years old and as vibrant as ever! She’s the unabashedly vocal and brutally honest in all things and can definitely teach her grandchildren a thing or two about relationships.

The only thing that bothered me about the book was that we didn’t get to see the conclusion of a large piece of the story. I am hoping we’ll see it in the next book.

This is my first read from Lauren Layne and she completely enchanted me! I can’t wait for the next book in the series and I’m currently checking out her other books!

I HIGHLY recommend FRISK ME to anyone who loves a good story with big laughs and big heart!

I was gifted an eBook copy from the publisher via Net Galley in exchange for an honest review. All conclusions reached are my own.
